Josh can stand...well almost
Joshua had his physical therapy session this week and his PT noticed that his knees were buckling when he planted both feet on the ground. She mentioned taking him into his orthopedist to see what she had to say. So we did. Dr. Katz said that his feet looked great and now that he is getting older, we can put braces on his feet to help support himself when he starts standing. As you can see, Josh is leaning against something to stand. He held his upper body straight which is a great improvement. This means that he is getting stronger in his upper body. We are really working on crawling and getting some strength in his legs. Josh's b-day is on Friday and we are getting him a bouncer so that he can bounce up and down to strengthen his lower body. He is really progressing well. He is doing things earlier than the doctors said he would. Also, Dr. Katz was telling a resident that spina bifida kids can't flex their feet normally...well...Josh proved them wrong. He is our little tropper.
