I didn't get a chance to get a letter out with our Christmas cards this year. Three kids is a lot harder than I thought. So here it is:
Dear friends and family,
Another year has gone. It seems like just yesterday we were starting 2011. Let me fill you in on what has happened to the Tolboe clan this year.
Garrett (11 weeks old) came into the world on October 24th, 2011. He has added so much joy to our family already. He eats well, sleeps well, and is happy when he is not spitting up! He started smiling and cooing! He looks just like Gavin when he was a baby! It is so fun having a baby in the house again.
Joshua (4½) has started his third year at Cherry Run Elementary in the preschool department. He absolutely loves it there and the teachers love him. He has also started physical therapy outside of preschool twice a week and is improving in his mobility. He is the peacemaker of our family and feels it is his responsibility to nurture and take care of Garrett.
Gavin (7) is in a 2nd/3rd grade combination class. He loves having six LDS friends in his class. He has really developed a talent in art and loves to draw. He was given an award in school for his knowledge of non-fiction and science, which he absolutely loves. He loves to read, too.
Linda is so happy being a stay at home mom. She worked as a life insurance examiner for the first half of the year and then was able to stay home for good in July. She spent a majority of the year pregnant with Garrett. She is enjoying not being pregnant anymore!
McKay got a new job in July working for a consulting firm called Booz, Allen, Hamilton. He really enjoys the work, the people, and the opportunity to be working outside the home again. He ran the Run-a-Muck, a 5K at Quantico with a couple of his friends. After that, he has made exercise an everyday activity.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas! We are so thankful for this time to year to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Much Love,
McKay, Linda, Gavin, Joshua, and Garrett Tolboe
