Field trip to the butterfly house

This last month Gavin and his preschool class were learning about how caterpillars make a crysalis and then become a butterfly. It has been so fun watching Gavin learn about this and getting new information about something he has never seen before. One day after school, Miss Denise (his teacher) ask us if we want to go with her to the butterfly house to release the butterflies. Gavin was so excited. We went and Gavin got to hold the temporary butterfly house. He had so much fun.
This is a caterpillar Gavin saw at the butterfly house on the field trip with his class. They all thought this was so neat!

Whenever we go to the butterfly house now that he has had his field trip, he always reminds us to be quiet so we don't scare the butterflies. Taking a field trip is a great way for them to learn.
